It is a know fact that knowing your customer preferences and shop behaviours could positively impact sales and business revenue. Business invest significant part of their budget into database. Companies that have information related to their customers could create more accurate market advertisement, promote their products into a more precise way and eventually increasing their sale and product. 

A customer database represents an organized collection of information about customers namely: name, surname, date of birth, address, and phone number. This types of information can extend and vary from business to business (Zhostka, 2022). 

A customer database has numerous opportunities for marketeers. For instance a customer database can help in tracking products popularity across certain categories in customers providing hints for the business related with product advertisement and placement. It also allow business to communicate information to customers by informing them about new products, services, offers or other information's relevant to customer interest (Martin, 2021). A customers database can be created as simple as using manual spreadsheets in cases of small business however, having a massive database of customers this method becomes ineffective. In general companies with numerous customers make use of database software which automatically collect and store information related to customers.

The picture below it shows an example of customers database for my E-commerce website project. It is a simple type of customers database created in Excel. 

The information collected in my customer database have the main purpose of contacting the customer. Being a beauty salon, phone calls could be frequent for the business. As mentioned above managing a significant customer data base could prove difficult when customers number increase.
